WEDDING | Danielle and Kevin

Beautiful. Breathtaking. Inspiring. Fun. Delicious. These are just a few of the words one can use to describe the day that Danielle and Kevin were married.  From the moment I walked in to Danielle's room at the Hilton in Saint John, and saw her dress with the cathedral length train and Spanish lace veil was captivated by the elegant and timeless beauty of Danielle and Kevin's wedding day.

I could focus on how beautifully decorated the reception was, how gorgeous  everyone looked (especially Danielle) and how perfectly executed the day was,  I could talk about how delicious the meal was and how incredible the dj was at playing music that filled the dance floor the entire night. I could talk about the beautiful florals were and how Danielle and Kevin's venue choices were so prefect that the portrait time was more than perfect despite the wet weather outside! I could talk about the moment when Danielle and Kevin sang to each other as they danced to Rascal Flatt's "Bless The Broken Road." There is so much to tell about the perfectness of this day, however the centerpiece of the day's celebration - the ceremony  - is what stands  out to me as the most most beautiful detail of the day!

It began with the Scottish Bagpiper greeting guests as they arrived at the historic Trinity Anglican Church. When guests were seated Danielle was escorted down the long wooden pew flanked aisle as her train and veil trailed behind her while her Father beamed with pride and incredible joy! Preceding her was a flower girl with a little ring bearer who flew in from Scotland for the occasion!! The ceremony was a traditional Anglican wedding celebration with readings by close friends telling about the importance of being patient, kind, humble and gracious.  As prayers were recited I could her Danielle's mother reciting the prayers by memory and as the hymn was sang, just before Danielle and Kevin were pronounced husband and wife, I watched the Bridesmaids sing with reference.  The ceremony is the centerpiece of the wedding day, and it is what made Danielle and Kevin's wedding the elegant and timeless celebration that it was!!

It was just a little over a year ago that I met with Danielle to talk about her wedding plans and hoped that she would choose me as her and Kevin's wedding photographer!! And she did! What a privilege it was to be the one to capture their wedding and to now share it with you. Danielle and Kevin, I wish you the happiest of marriages with many moments of laughter and many bottles of delicious wine!!

Special shout out to my friend and colleague, Katelyn Rodas of K. Bella Wedding and Event Planning who helped Danielle bring all the beautiful bits together! Always a pleasure working with you ;) And what a pleasure it was to photograph the very first wedding held at the new Diamond Jubilee Cruise Terminal!!!
