[wedding] now booking for 2012

i have three weddings left to shoot in 2011, including one this coming friday and i am so excited!! my goal was to book and shoot five weddings this season and i reached my goal!! yay! i love the couple's that have chosen me to be their wedding photographer; i feel as though i have made ten new friends, which makes me love my job even more [if that is even possible!].

and!!! i have even booked a wedding for the 2012 season already... the ceremony will be on an old tall ship as it cruises around the bay of fundy [do i have the best job ever or what!!!]. so. i thought it best to let you know that i am excited to be booking for the 2012 wedding season!! it would be an absolute privilege to photograph your wedding and to tell your love story!

if the number of engagements i have heard about lately is indicative of anything, i am thinking that i will be receiving more inquires in the coming weeks!! and that is totally okay with me. i have an investment guide already to email out, and have put together little info packs containing information about other businesses in charlotte county that would love to be apart of your wedding!! here is a little peak at what i have prepared to give you when we meet up for coffee to talk about your wedding!!!

toose's on water street in st. andrews provides a handwritten card [made by a canadian artist] to introduce their new bridal registry!! [side note: these cards, which are available at toose's made for really unique wedding invitations!!]

hope this is a happy monday for you!!

[portraits] jeremy and jennifer

they met when they were both living in jacksonville, florida and became engaged shortly before jeremy moved to small town new brunswick, canada [also know as the place where winter never ends] to attend university. after their wedding the following year, jennifer gave up her career and everything wonderful about living in a city with eternal sunshine, to follow jeremy to canada while he continued their studies. after four years, a new baby, a thesis and a whole lot of sacrifices, jeremy graduated from university [with honours] and jennifer was able to breathe a great sigh of relief!

their story is encouraging and even inspiring to anyone who remains on the fence about pursuing passion, love and family, especially when it involves so much sacrifice.

jeremy and jennifer are friends of mine, and as a graduation gift to both of them, i wanted to give them a portrait session that was focused on them, and would create space for jeremy and jennifer to enjoy one another, remembering how remarkable the other is, and how rewarding their mutual sacrifices have been these past four years of togetherness.

jennifer had told me once that the movie "stranger than fiction" created a defining moment in her and jeremy's relationship. this was because this is the only movie that they watched together and both enjoyed. this is the only movie that they both like. i can believe this because if you are ever at their home and look in their separate movie drawers you will see two very polar opposite movie collections!! so, of course, it was just perfect to include this movie in this photo shoot that was designed to celebrate their relationship!

[portraits] wiebe family

last week, chloe left st. stephen and her family for a university. she is the first one in her family to leave her parent's nest and move toward a new season in life. this is not only a loss [a happy and wonderful move for chloe, but a lose nonetheless] for her parents, but also for her community-she is one fantastic young lady. i think world-changer is a good term to describe her.

to celebrate the completion of high school and the adventures ahead of her, chloe's family and friends gathered at ganong nature park for a party... and it was beautiful. here are just a few highlights from the party, which consisted of good food, music, tributes at sunset, a slideshow and swing dancing!!

and before chloe actually boarded the plane to take her west, i got together with the whole wiebe clan, including grandma! and we took some fun family photos!
