we started out at this old theme park that was scattered with mini replicas of scottish castles and monuments, and that had this gorgeous lane lined with old growth trees. we then moved on to a wharf and fishing dock before going out to dinner at carr's oyster bar!! seriously: beautiful land and sea scape, good people and great food.. is there anything about prince edward island not to love?
this was such a sweet portrait session. there is something about photographing two people who have been together for decades!! perhaps it's because you know these two know each other so well or perhaps it's because even after thirty plus years of marriage there is still remains a glimmer of puppy love and youthful romance. whatever the reason, i loved watching john and joanne interact. they embraced the opportunity to have fun in front of the camera, and to simply be together in each other's arms!
i hope you love these images as much as i do. and i hope i have the opportunity to photograph more couples you have been together longer than i have been alive... there is nothing like love that has aged like fine wine!
