[personal] fall flowers and being thankful

up until this morning i did not have any solid thanksgiving plans. i am shooting trish and eric's wedding tomorrow in saint andrews and on sunday i am heading up to the kingston peninsula for a family photo session.  this leaves only monday to stop and celebrate this season of being thankful for the bounty that summer brings.

over lunch today, some friends and i settled on having a small thanksgiving dinner that i will be cooking! i did a little happy dance when i came home as i have been anxious to make a really good meal lately. in addition to the turkey with pear and cranberry stuffing made with an artisan garlic bread and some the usual vegetable accompaniments, i have decided to make a butternut squash pie, from scratch!!

while at the grocery store i decided to treat myself to a beautiful bouquet of harvest florals. they are something lovely to admire when i find time this weekend to sit and reflect on the bountiful life i have experienced this past year at the hands of God's mercy and grace.

happy thanksgiving!

love & sunshine,
shannon-may
