[family] tony, joan, cathy, joe, karen and ellen!

way back in august cathy had contacted me about coming to her family's farm on the kingston peninsula to do some family portraits - this would be a 25th wedding anniversary gift to her parents, which was promised to them last year! after a few emails back and forth we decided that thanksgiving sunday would be the ideal day, since they would all be together [cathy lives in halifax and it would save her an extra trip]!

i have never been to the kingston peninsula and was over the moon happy as i crossed the water on the gondola point ferry towards this breathtaking part of new brunswick. the landscape was a glow with orange and gold. i love fall in the maritimes. as i drove closer to the family's farm i became more and more inspired by the natural beauty [and i was loving what the sun light was doing!!!].

i had such a great time with tony, joan, cathy, joe, karen and ellen! you can see in the way they interact they are a close family who enjoys being together thought each one has uniquely wonderful personalities! and i loved, LOVED how much they love their animals!! watching them with their furry family members and walking with the whole family through the pasture reminded me so much of my own family, the years we spent on the farm and the integral part our animals have always played in our lives.
