wedding "inspiration" shoot

when i returned from wppi 2011 in february my mind and heart were bubbling over with some pretty awesome ideas and could not wait to implement some of them into my developing business! of course, wisdom shortly followed and i realized that some would have to wait until i had more experience, more resources and more ideas of my own. however, there was one thing that i was quick to get rolling with: the wedding "inspiration" wedding shoot.

in the weeks that unfolded following my return home from an extended stay in bc, i met sarah, a wedding and special events planner based in saint andrews and shared my idea with her. we quickly began working together to plan out the best mock wedding we could. the ladies at harmony house in saint andrews were quick to get on board and their venue ultimately inspired our 1960's vintage theme (the character that the historic buildings in saint andrews and all of new brunswick contain are just the perfect venues for brides and grooms looking for something different from the conference rooms or community halls typically used for weddings). the ladies are garden by the sea contributed their talent and flowers, providing all the floral arrangements for the wedding shoot, and julie at jx2 hair studio in saint andrews beautified our model ally, perfectly styling her hair and make-up to fit the theme! and kristen best, blossoming baker extraordinaire was happy to lend her cake making talents to provide us with the sweetest cake! i am so impressed by the talent and resources available in saint andrews when it comes to weddings! seriously, if you are planning a wedding in saint andrews, or anywhere in charlotte county, this group of ladies (and their respective businesses) can provide you with some of the best services available!

this was so much fun. i loved coming up with style ideas, shopping for and making some bits and bobs that we included to add some fun details to the shoot (the ribbon curtain, took no time to make!). but i loved photographing the whole thing the most! i loved how everything came together so perfectly and how it looked through me lens.

jamie and ally! it was such a privilege to work with you, and to give you, ally, an opportunity to wear your dress again! you are stunning, and if my future brides and grooms are as beautiful, fun and natural in front of the camera (and super in love with each other) my job will be so easy and so enjoyable!!

here are the completed results!!
