{WEDDING} Abbie and Dalen

Abbie and Dalen were  married amongst family and friends while nestled into the apple orchard overlooking the Bay of Fundy at the Ganong Nature Park. Yup. Idyllic location like whoa! Hand painted signs made by Abbie, her Dad and her Bridesmaids directed guests towards the ceremony, reception, lawn games and happiness. Yarns balls, paper flowers and ribbons decorated the trees while lace and wild flowers decorated the aisle and arbor. Their signature wedding colour of lavender was juxtaposed with nudes, neutrals and soft whites to create a soft and dreamy aesthetic amongst the greenery of the orchard and park. Every detail was well thought out, consistent with the whimsical DIY feel that Abbie and Dalen wanted, and the added detail that the apple orchard brought to day was a gentle reminder that her Grandfather was there with them, celebrating spirit.

I had a really hard time wiping the smile from my face as I went through Abbie and Dalen's wedding images. I had an even more difficult time narrowing down images for the blog post and their wedding slideshow. Not only was Abbie a STUNNING Bride, and not only did she and Dalen plan my ideal wedding, lending to copious amounts of inspiration, but they had one of the best bridal parties ever and it was such a joy, as I perused through the images  to relive the moments I got to experience with Abbie and Dalen, and Madi, Gill, Julie, Deanna, Andy, Judson, Adam and Snowden. Yup... loved them all so much I had to mention them by name.

I think ultimately, though, what most imprinted the smile on my face was the overflow of emotion throughout this wedding. Tears of joy flowed with abandon from so many lovely faces, especially Dalen - so heart warming. And you know, the romantic philosopher in me thinks that tears that flow from joy waters the garden of love (oh cheese...).

When I first met Abbie and Dalen they expressed that the most important thing about their wedding was for their guests to have fun! That is, besides marrying their best friend and love of their lives. To carry this out Abbie and Dalen set out lawn games and a photobooth to keep guests entertained during the reception, and planned an all out celebration complete with glow sticks, sparklers and a live band for the dance. This was in addition to the East Coast style family BBQ complete with lobster and an ice cream sundae bar they had for dinner! It was really hard to leave at the end of the night, especially when Julie, Madi, Deanna and Gill kept to give me a glass of wine!!

I hope you enjoy these images and the love/joy/fun that was experienced by all. Seriously gorgeous wedding, gorgeous couple, GORGEOUS LOVE. Don't forget to leave some blog love for Abbie and Dalen!!

Love & Sunshine,
Shannon-May
