a little bit of home...

i am nearing the end of my visit home to bc, though there is still so much to do and people to see. particularly because my first two weeks were spent in bed with the stomach flu followed by pulled back muscles... it is only the last 10 days that i have experienced full mobility and no pain!!! but, i have made up for my slow start and still managed to make some memories!!!

my first weekend home i was quick to catch up with my bestie candice... babies were snuggled, wine was consumed, puppies were played with, songs were sung and some good ol' movie watching was had!!

i was home for only four days when i picked up the stomach flu from a family gathering! turns out, seventy-five percent of my family that was in attendance to this twice a year gathering of all the pringles ended up with the stomach flu! we can thank our little cousin jacob and his parents for the wonderful gift that kept giving all week long.  despite this, the time together was fun. it was great fun catching up with aunts, uncles and cousins and seeing how all the families have grown. it was great fun to watch the young people participate in a time honor tradition: the piniata. the best part, watching little ella hug and kiss the piniata rather than whack it with the stick!

by far the best part of being home has been meeting my new nephew, making an aunty for the very first time!! little maxwell robert pringle made his debut on january 21st. three days of labor and an emergency(ish) c-section later, he weighed in over 8lbs and has been delighting his parents, grandparents and aunties and uncles ever since! i love snuggling this little this guy.

proud grandpapa pringle!

proud new (tired) dad, my brother marshall!

it's going to be so hard to leave at the end of february, but i am so looking forward to having routine back in my life!
