white rock portraits: monique

in november, st. stephen's university held a lobster dinner fundraiser for their upcoming study abroad trip to kenya. up for auction was a photo session with me and monique, visiting at the time from bc, bid and won!! i've known monique for over 5 years and happened to be sitting at the table when she was bidding on the session.. this was a wierd experience, but i am so happy she won, and i am so happy we made time while i was in bc to spend some time in white rock and photograph her beautiful self against to gorgeous ocean scenery!!!

i am so so pleased with these photos!! i am still working on giving direction, finding it most difficult when working one on one versus working with a couple or a small family!! but we had fun, and monique was not afraid to be playful in front of the lens! a natural model she is!
