Sian and David have been together for thirteen years and, like all bride's and grooms, are super excited to be getting married. Sian's exact words to me when we met for coffee a few weeks back were, "I'm really glad we are doing this!" She spoke these words as she reached next to her to grab David's hand and exchange a smile with her beloved. Their engagement was not marked with a formal proposal, and the ring that Sian currently wears was a Christmas gift from David (an official engagement ring is in the works!). Their decision to marry was simply a choice that they made together one day this past winter. They have chosen to combine their lives, their homes and their families, and to solidify before God, their families and their friends their choice to continue loving each other, supporting each other, and to being each other's biggest fan in life.
Sian and David were visiting St. Andrews this past Easter weekend and we took this opportunity to meet and to shoot their engagement photos! We met at Sian's parent's home, which is a testimony to long love and marriage making it so perfect an engagement session!! And while the rain stayed off, we ventured outside in order to take in the breathtaking natural beauty of Saint Andrews!!
The respect and admiration that I see Sian and David have for one another is why I believe in marriage, and I am grateful for the opportunity to capture their best day together this August! I hope you enjoy their engagement photos as much as I do, and that you are inspired by their joy!
