{WEDDING} Carolyn and Adam

Though it was misty and rainy during their engagement photos in May, and again on their wedding day on June 23rd, this did nothing to dampen the joy and love-filled spirits of Carolyn and Adam, and those that had gathered to celebrate their marriage. Following the ceremony guests gathered to bestow upon the newlyweds and their families their congratulations and best wishes. I nearly cried as I witnessed the joy Adam's father expressed to his friends about the girl that stole Adam's heart... how they had all waited for her to come along. And the pride with which Carolyn's father beamed made me ever-so-aware of this right of passage every father to a daughter should experience!

Carolyn was stunning in her 1950's inspired wedding dress and veil, and Adam beamed when he saw her walking down the aisle on her father's arm toward him. Wine and champagne were free flowing alone with the most scrumptious food at the Rossmount Inn as family and friends gathered to celebrate the newlyweds. And during the after party at Carolyn's parent's sea-side home, not one but five cakes awaited to be devoured along with more scrumptious food!. This was indeed a foodie's dream wedding... Carolyn's bouquet even had fresh herbs to compliment the succulents, peonies and lisianthus!!

Though there was no particular theme to this Saint Andrews-By-The-Sea wedding other than a desire to keep things "somewhat casual and not fussy," Carolyn, along with the help of her mother and Adam's mother, planned a stunning celebration that emitted beauty and class. The simple decor consisted of a mixture of wildflowers and fresh picked garden flowers, and needlepoint details that Carolyn and her mother created. And Carolyn brought down with her from Lunenburg Nova Scotia raspberry vanilla jam made by a local women at the farmer's market as party favours for her guests... a fitting gift for a wedding that left me feeling as though I had been transported back six decades to a time of elegance and simplicity.

From the moment Carolyn met Adam, she knew "he was the one." And it didn't take much longer for Adam to begin dreaming of the life he wanted to have with Carolyn. One day, not so long ago Adam told Carolyn about his dream and just a couple of weeks ago Adam's dream become the reality it was always meant to be!

Thank you so much Carolyn and Adam, and thank you to your families, for inviting me to be apart of such an incredible day and for allowing me capture it all for you! I could not have asked for a better start to my second season as a wedding photographer!!

Love this photo that Jon caught of these three ladies blowing bubbles!!

***Thank you to my second shooter Jon for all your help making sure I ate, drank water and captured all the important moments and that no details was left unphotographed!!
